Using focal reducer with eyepiece - issue

Hi all,

I have a GSO 2 inch eyepiece (42 and 30mm) and got a GSO 2 inch focal reducer 0.5x.

When I connect the focal reducer to the bottom of the eyepiece and try to view (trying to get wider sky view) - it is appearing slightly out of focus.

Is that the backfocus issue that I need to resolve through some adapter between the eyepiece and reducer ?

Please help advise.

Hi sir,

Yes, this sounds like a backfocus issue. I believe the focal reducer would have come with an extension tube with it. Can you try using that?
