Telescope advise

Hello all, i am searching for a beginner telescope which is portable and easy to use.

Space Arcade Chennai suggested the below telescope with Azimuth mount. Please share your suggestions!

Explore Scientific FirstLight 130/600AZ seems to be a good option as first telescope.
However is it portable depends.
You still need to setup everytime. You will need a car to transport.
A binoculars will be a better option to start with to understand the night sky, it’s portable, no maintenance and it will be useful for decades.
Then you might consider buying a 8 inch dob or something bigger as your first telescope which will be more useful.

Hi @Saranya , for a beginner, and even for a more experienced person, we usually suggest a Dobsonian with 6-8" aperture size. When I say Dobsonian it’s the mount that holds the telescope. The telescope that is held by the Dobsonian mount is (almost always) a Newtonian telescope. It’s relatively cheap and performs very well for visual astronomy. However, as @Eniyan had suggested, a binocular will get you started with astronomy. Don’t rush into buying equipment. Do ask questions here.
