This session is being organised as a tribute to the Radio Astronomy pioneer and father of Radio Astronomy in India, Prof. Govind Swarup, who passed away in Pune, on the 7th of September 2020. The session, with content in outreach format throgh discussions with eminent astronomers, will attempt to bring aspects of Prof. Swarup’s pioneering contributions to the beginning and growth of Radio Astronomy in India, within access for students.
