Milky Way from Chennai (Retake)

I captured this a few days ago from my HEAVILY light polluted chennai roof which is a Bortle 7-8. I wasn’t really pleased with my last result (due to walking noise and less integration) and I felt like re capturing the Milky Way core from chennai. This time I ended up with around 88 min of data. Other structures such as Lagoon/Trifid nebulae, Eagle/Swan nebulae and clusters such as Ptolemy cluster are visible too

Image was cropped significantly due to light pollution

Camera/Lens: Canon EOS 600D with 28-80 mm old film kit lens (28mm)
Mount: Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i
Settings: ISO 100, F/5.0, 60" shutter speed (Bulb Mode)

Stacked and processed in SIRIL. LR mobile for basic postprocessing

Nice. Did you try bumping up the ISO and try removing the gradient in post and got bad results? I mean why ISO 100?

Anything higher blows up the photo. I’ve tried higher ISO but they always result in a very blown out photo

Yes and higher ISO’s generally result in extremely bad gradients which are tough to remove/diminish the appearence in post

Here is my 3 min sub at 200 ISO from my Nikon D5100:

Is your sub at higher ISOs brighter than this?

Did you check the histogram? Mine is at around 35 to 45% from the left.

Yeah, they’re way brighter
I actually didn’t check the histogram. I’ll keep that in mind next time, thanks!
