Comet C/2025 R3 (PanSTARRS) is clearly visible in long-exposure photographs, binoculars, and telescopes. We spotted it from our star party on Sunday!
-
Even though it should be visible to the naked eyes, being very close to the horizon makes it impossible currently.
-
Look towards east before sunrise. Try between 4:45 AM and 5:15 AM. April 17–18 is the last practical window to catch it in the morning sky.
-
You need a clear horizon without any buildings and light.
-
The comet sinks a little lower each day, so try as soon as you can. Use apps like Stellarium to find its exact position.
