Can we spot pole star from Chennai?

I know it is at 12 degrees from horizon. That is not much and also Chennai has high light pollution. But are there any places in Chennai, where we can spot pole star polaris in naked eye or using a binocular?

Try going to the northern limits of the city(Red Hills, etc.)…it should be visible from there as the light pollution towards north is very little.

Yes you can view from Chennai
I am at bortle 5 location near Tambaram
I can easily spot it from here.

Yes. I can see with binoculars from third floor.

Thanks for all the replies. I was able to spot the big dipper and pole star from Thiruvanmiyur beach and it was great. Also thanks to a temporary but long enough current interruption, I was able to spot it from the terrace of my home.
